Attention Moose Members

Parents and Grandparents of High School Students

  • Have you thought about how you are going to pay for their college?

  • Would your child like to take a role in educating young people to make wise decisions?

  • Are they looking to earn Community Service Credit, Scholarships, or Cash Awards?

The Buena Park Youth Awareness Committee and Moose International are here to help!

Buena Park Moose “Youth of the Year Award” 

Minimum Eligibility Requirements:

Must be high school student (9, 10, 11, 12 grade)Parent, Grandparent or Guardian must be a member with Buena Park Loyal Order of Moose or Women of the Moose.

Must fill out and turn in a Youth Awareness Student Application, Registration, and Parental Consent Forms and attend the Congress on November 9, 2019

Awards:

  • $250.00 from the Buena Park Moose Youth Awareness Committee, and a plaque naming them as the Buena Park Moose Youth of the Year (Funded by the Buena Park Loyal Order of Moose and Women of the Moose)

  • Moose Youth Awareness Scholarship Program Minimum Eligibility Requirements:

  • Must be high school student (9, 10, 11, 12 grade)

  • Must fill out and turn in a Youth Awareness Student Application, Registration, and Consent Forms for the Youth Awareness Congress at the Buena Park Moose Lodge by November 7, 2019

  • Students must attend the Association Youth Awareness Congress on Saturday November 9, 2019

Awards:

  • $50.00 – $600.00 Cash Awards.

  • A plaque for Community Service, presented at the April 5, 2020 District Meeting. (Free breakfast for the whole family)

  • A four-day all-expense paid round trip to the International Youth Awareness Congress in Mount Laurel, New Jersey, April 23 – April 27, 2020

  • One of five scholarships awarded, $12,000, $8,000, $5,000, $3,000, and $2,000. (Funded by the Moose Legion)  

  • The Moose “Heart of the Community” Scholarship Program  Minimum Eligibility Requirements:

  • Sponsoring Moose Member must be a Father, Stepfather, Grandfather, Mother, Stepmother, Grandmother, or Legal Guardian

  • Student must perform volunteered work on behalf of Moose

  • Student must be in the high school Junior, graduating Class of 2021

  • Currently participates in In-School activities (i.e. sports, band, theater, etc.)Have a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of 3.0, higher on a 4.0 scale, or equivalent

  • Scholarship Application must be faxed or postmarked on or before June 30, 2020 – No Extensions

Award:

  • $1,000 and $5,000 scholarships
