LOOM
Hey Everybody,
Welcome to February and here’s wishing you all a Happy Valentines Day.
Thanks to the entertainment committee for having a great Band last month on the 20th. We promised you that it would be great and everyone there had a great time, if you weren’t there you missed a good one. Now, what we need to do is get them back from time to time, so let’s come to the meetings and pressure the entertainment committee to get them back. However, if you want Bands now and then, we have to support them. Come on down enjoy more than a reasonably priced dinner, cheaper refreshments, and great entertainment but socialize with your fellow Brothers and Sisters.
O.K, now, how do we make this happen? Well, the prime ingredients are good dinners, friendly people, and a form of entertainment that everyone can enjoy.
Alright, good dinners, we need some help in this department. We need at least one if not two kitchen crews to prepare and serve a couple of dinners per month, when do we need you? You need to attend Calendar planning each Month to work that out, it’s simple, not long and at times, kind of fun. Keep in mind, you don’t pay for the ingredients, the Lodge will reimburse you, or bring up the expense and ingredients at Calendar Planning.
One more thing in that department is that you need to attend a (1) hour training regarding Food Safety, you will be certified and recognized by the O.C. Health Dept. for (1) year, as attending this training. Everyone does it, so it’s not just our Lodge.
So, on that note, there will be a Kitchen Training on the 4th of Feb., Calendar planning this month will be on the 21st.
Also coming up, our Monthly Iron Moose cook-off on the 18th. This month’s special ingredient is SPINACH.This doesn’t have to be the entrée, only an ingredient. Lot’s of fun, and you might even learn something.
O.k. I’m out of here, read your Bulletin and calendar and come down and see us.
Fraternally Yours,
Bob (Ballcap) Schumacher
